我院眼科成立于1976年，已有三十余年的历史，经过几代人的努力，已发展为一个现代化的新眼科。目前有副主任医师3名，主治医师3名，主管护师1名，住院医师4名，拥有一批高性能、高标准的现代化手术设备，如新一代眼力健超声乳化仪、眼底荧光造影仪、眼底激光仪、手术显微镜、日本进口的验光仪、眼压仪以及视野检查仪、天津产眼科AB超等。设有白内障青光眼和小儿弱视治疗二个专科。年门诊量约30000余人次，年住院病人约400余人次。
眼科病房位于现代化病房大楼十四楼，病区住院条件优越，环境整洁，四季如春，再无严寒和酷暑的不便。目前能顺利开展各种白内障、青光眼、小儿斜视、眼外伤和泪器疾病的治疗和手术。1990年被定为镇江市首批白内障定点单位，2007年被评为丹阳市低视力康复指导中心，2008年被评为镇江市儿童低视力康复指导中心，多年来为丹阳及周边地区人民的健康作出了贡献。
在以后的工作中，眼科全体人员将努力开拓，不断进取，精心维护丹阳人民的心灵之窗，还弱视儿童一片光明的蓝天，是我们义不容辞的职责。
The department of ophthalmology established in 1976 has developed into a modern new ophthalmology department with efforts of several generations over a history of more than 30 years. At present, there are 3 deputy chief physicians, 3 attending physicians, 1 supervisor, and 4 resident doctors, and the department owns a group of high-performance, high-level modern surgical equipment, such as the new generation of eyesight ultrasound emulsifier, fundus fluorescence illuminator, fundus laser, surgical microscope, optometry imported from Japan, tonometer and visual field tester, Tianjin Ophthalmology AB ultrasound etc. Two specialized sections have been set up for cataract glaucoma and pediatric amblyopia treatment. Every year, there are about 30,000 outpatients and about 400 inpatients.
The ophthalmic ward, located on the 14th floor of the modern ward building, has excellent hospitalization conditions, clean and tidy, like spring all the year round. The department currently is able to successfully carry out various treatments and operations for cataract, glaucoma, pediatric strabismus, ocular trauma and lacrimal disease etc. In 1990, it became one of the first designated units for cataract treatment in Zhenjiang City. In 2007, it was awarded the Danyang Rehabilitation Guidance Center for Low Vision. In 2008, it was awarded Zhenjiang Rehabilitation Guidance Center for Children"s Low Vision . It has contributed to the health of the people in Danyang and surrounding areas over the years.
The whole staff will keep on working hard and making continuous progress in maintaining the good health of the eyes--the windows of the soul of Danyang people and it is incumbent on them to bring back the bright blue sky to amblyopic children.
