科室简介
该科为上海交通大学医学院重点学科,现有专业医师55人,博导2人,硕导4人,主任医师4人,副主任医师9人。研究生学历占69.1%。该科学涵盖了临床麻醉、重症监护治疗和疼痛诊疗3个亚学科及1个麻醉与镇痛研究室。目前承担多项国家级和部、市级科研项目，每年在国内外杂志上发表论文20余篇。该学科也是国家临床药物实验基地和卫生部专科医师培训基地。
诊疗特色
临床麻醉
临床麻醉有32间手术室，20张床位的麻醉恢复室，并拥有先进的麻醉及监测设备。每年完成心胸外科、神经外科、骨科、普外科、妇产科、泌尿外科、整形外科、眼科和耳鼻咽喉科等各类手术的麻醉近30000例。其中全身麻醉占60%。严重创伤病人的抢救和麻醉是该科临床麻醉的特色之一。每年救治严重创伤和多发伤病人800余例，在创伤病人的麻醉、气道管理、液体复苏以及脂肪栓塞综合征的早期发现和治疗等方面累积了丰富的经验。神经阻滞也是六院临床麻醉的一个特色。自1963年世界首例断肢再植成功以来，六院以创伤骨科闻名国内外。每年完成外周神经阻滞6000余例。现在该科应用了神经刺激仪或超声等技术引导定位，使得外周神经阻滞更加安全、准确、有效。六院每年还完成鼾症手术400余例，强直性脊柱炎和颈椎骨折手术300余例。这些病人的气道管理都存在一定的问题，因此困难气道的处理也是本科临床麻醉的特色之一。
ICU（重症监护室）
ICU创建于1992年，现有床位28张。ICU以先进的医疗设备和精湛的医疗技术，积极参与危重症患者治疗和抢救工作。每年收治患者1000余例，重危病人的抢救成功率达到95%。
ICU技术力量雄厚，现有专职医生12名，其中研究生学历者达到83%。他们长期从事ICU研究和临床工作，在危重病的治疗和抢救方面具有丰富的经验。ICU拥有一支专业、精干的护理队伍，协助临床医生顺利完成了大量危重病人的抢救工作。
ICU主要收治各科的危重病人和手术后的高危病人，进行连续的监护及支持治疗，对于休克、多发伤、急性肺损伤、多脏器功能不全、呼吸衰竭、肺栓塞等危重病人的抢救具有丰富的经验。
疼痛诊疗
疼痛诊疗是六院重点特色专业，由已故专家徐惠芳教授于1988年创建，是我国目前规模最大的急慢性疼痛诊断治疗专业单位之一。目前，年门诊量已突破4万，总有效率达85%~90%。
诊疗特色
1. 各种神经病理性疼痛
包括带状疱疹神经痛和后遗神经痛、糖尿病末梢神经痛、截肢后幻肢痛和残肢痛、臂丛神经外伤后顽固性上肢痛以及腰背部手术后失败综合征。对这类顽固性神经病理性疼痛，该特色专业采用综合治疗方法，取得了较满意的治疗效
2.颈椎、腰椎间盘病变
对于颈、腰椎间盘病变引起的颈肩上肢痛和坐骨神经痛，可以采用神经根消炎的治疗方法和介入治疗进行椎间盘减压，达到缓解疼痛的治疗目的。
3.植物神经功能紊乱引起的肢体疼痛
植物神经功能紊乱，可以引起肢体血供障碍、肢体的痛感觉，对于这类疼痛患者可以通过植物神经阻滞的治疗方法，调整植物神经功能，治疗患者的疼痛
4.癌性疼痛
对于晚期肿瘤引起的剧烈疼痛，不仅可以指导病人合理使用各类镇痛药物，取得最好的镇痛效果，减少药物不良反应。对于药物控制不好的晚期肿瘤痛，还可以使用神经破坏术，进一步提高镇痛效果。
5. 其他
对于膝关节退变、各种退行性变引起的局部疼痛也可以通过局部综合治疗，达到缓解疼痛的目的。肱骨外上髁炎（俗称“网球肘”）和腱鞘炎通过局部注射效果也非常明显。
The Department of Anaesthesia provides anaesthesia, pain medicine, resuscitation, and intensive care services for the Shanghai Sixth People"s Hospital, a 1,400 bed tertiary referral teaching hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University. The hospital provides medical services to all specialties with several renown centers, such as trauma center, diabetes research center, ENT center, and so. In the hospital"s history, the first successful finger reinsplantation in the world is highlighted along with many pioneer clinical practices in China and in the world. The hospital has one of the best and busiest trauma centers in Shanghai, China.
The Department of Anaesthesia is committed to being one of the top academic departments in the country. Under the direction of Prof. Jiang Wei M.D, PhD anaesthesiologist (jiangw@sjtu.edu.cn), it strives to advance the specialty by achieving excellence in Clinical Care, Education, Research and Service.

Anaesthesia Department in Operation Theatre
Anaesthetic services are provided for 28 main operating theatres, 24-hour dedicated trauma, and acute pain services. There were 30,000 operations per year (60% general anesthesia and 40% regional anesthesia including peripheral nerve blocks under ultrasound guide) in the main Operating Theatre suite in last year, and the number grows every year. An additional 5,000 anaesthetics were administered in other areas outside the Operating Theatre suite last year. The department is also responsible for resuscitation services within the hospital.

Intensive care unit
The Intensive Care Unit has 18 beds and provides care for general surgical for patients at any ages. There are over 1,200 admissions annually. The majority of patients have an APACHE score of 20-30. The overall mortality is around 3%. Approximately 60% of admissions are elective surgical patients and the remainder critically ill emergency patients with a wide range of medical and surgical pathologies. A full range of invasive monitoring and all major forms of organ support are employed. The vast majority of patients require more than one organ support and invasive monitoring. The 4 consultants cover the unit and they come from a background of anesthesia and emergency medicine. The consultants also run clinical researches on sepsis, ARDS, multiple organ dysfunction syndromes.

Clinic of Pain Management
The Pain Medicine Section is one of the first pain clinics in China with the history of more than 20 years. It has a clinic (more than 35,000 visits in last year) and a pain management ward with 6 beds. The range of services provided includes comprehensive evaluation of pain problems and therapies including medical management, Interventional treatment and many other procedures including nerve blocks, infusion therapies, and physical therapy. Consultants in the pain clinic evaluate and treat all types of chronic pain syndromes including neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal pain, headaches, cancer pain, as well as sympathetic and visceral pain syndromes. Anaesthesiologists also run several clinical trials on chronic pain management and laboratory researches of pain signaling system at molecular levels.

Research Laboratory
The Department has dedicated laboratory facilities. Laboratory research programs include molecular physiology, pain mechanism, pharmacokinetics of anaesthetics, inflammation mediator, SIRS and so on. There is a diversity of research interests producing some 20 publications per year and achieved many research awards from the Chinese National Health Administration.
Residency training programme
Chinese medical residence train is under reform recently. Our department is proud of being one of the residency training centers. Our goal is to prepare excellent, board-certified anesthesiologists who can meet the challenges and changing needs of perioperative medicine.
