南方医院创伤骨科,是集医疗、教学与科研为一体的国家重点培育学科、首批国家重点临床专科、广东省高等院校重点学科、广东省创伤救治研究中心、骨与软骨再生医学重点实验室、博士后流动站。本科医疗资源丰富,设骨与关节外科、肩肘外科、足踝外科、运动损伤、小儿骨科、手外科等亚专科,设有步态分析室、功能康复室、支具矫形室、肌电图室等。
科室医疗技术特色鲜明,在肢体严重创伤的急、危、重症救治积累丰富经验,形成了以四肢骨关节损伤及其并发症的治疗为技术特色,在严重肢体外伤性或发育性畸形的外科矫形、顽固性骨髓炎(感染性骨缺损)的治疗、严重骨与关节损伤的治疗、复杂骨盆髋臼骨折的治疗、肢体毁损伤的显微重建修复、四肢骨折的微创技术、老年骨折的综合治疗、臂丛与周围神经损伤的治疗、四肢运动损伤的治疗、肩肘外科、足踝外科、小儿骨科等疾病的诊治等方面具有明显的技术优势,部分技术处于国际领先或先进水平,在国内外具有一定的影响。
科室技术力量雄厚,学科内多人在国内外及省内相关学术组织中担任主任委员、副主任委员等学术职务。人才梯队合理,科研实力强,承担了包括国家863、973项目在内的30多项基金课题。目前共获得各类成果奖30余项,其中国家科技进步二等奖1项,军队科技成果一等奖3项。创伤骨科已先后与美国、英国、意大利、瑞士、香港等国家与地区建立了长期的学术交流与科研合作关系。学科将面向新世纪、瞄准国际发展前沿,紧密跟踪国际新发展动态,着力开拓创新性技术,将在显微、微创及导航技术等方面有新的突破,不断提高肢体创伤救治水平,为伤残患者造福,为人类健康服务。
The Department of Orthopedic Trauma of NanfangHospital is a unit for national key disciplines that integrates medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. It is one of the first sites approved in terms of national key clinical specialty, and is a key discipline site in the universities of Guangdong Province. Also, our department is a research center for trauma treatment in Guangdong Province, a key laboratory of bone and cartilage regeneration, and offers postdoctoral research programs. Our department is rich in medical resources with bone and joint surgery, shoulder and elbow surgery, foot and ankle surgery, sports injury, pediatric orthopedics, hand surgery and other subspecialties, and has a gait analysis room, function recovery room, orthopedic brace room, EMG (Electromyography) room, etc.
Our department is distinctively featured in medical technologies, and has accumulated a rich experience in the treatment of acute, critical and severe cases of limb trauma. We have formed technical expertise in the treatment of joint injuries of limbs and their complications, and have significant technical advantages in surgical orthopedics of severe physical trauma or developmental malformations and treatment of intractable chronic osteomyelitis(infected bone defects), treatment of severe bone and joint injuries, treatment of complex pelvic acetabularfractures, microscopic reconstruction and repair of limb damage, minimally invasive techniques of limb fractures, integrated treatment of fractures in the elderly, treatment of brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injury, treatment of limb injury resulting from sports, and diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to shoulder and elbow, foot and ankle, and pediatric orthopedics. In some technologies, we are taking the lead globally or are at an advanced level, and have some influence at home and abroad.
Our department has significant technical strength, with several persons acting as chairmen, vice-chairmen or taking other academic positions in academic organizations of Guangdong Province, China or in international academic organizations. With a reasonable personnel structure and strong scientific research strength, we have taken or are taking charge of more than 30 fund projects, including those of the 863 Program and the 973 Program. So far, we have received more than 30 achievement awards, including asecond prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and 3 first prizes of the Military Science and Technology Achievement Award. We have established a long-term relationship of academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation with institutions in the United States, Britain, Italy, Switzerland, Hong Kong and other countries or regions. Facing the new century, we are aiming at the international forefront of development, closely tracking the latest international developments, and making efforts to develop innovative technologies. We will make new breakthroughs in microscopic, minimally invasive and navigation technologies, and constantly improve the level of treatment for physical trauma, to benefit patients with disabilities and to provide healthcare services for human beings.
